YSL Rouge Volupte Lipstick haul

My YSL Rouge Volupte lipstick collection is growing little by little (so far I have a total of five now). In the past few weeks I purchased Nude Beige No. 1,  Opera Rose No. 29, and Rose Paris No. 27.

Continue reading for descriptions, swatches, and comparisons...

Nude Beige No. 1 is a neutral beige with a pink undertone. This is probably one of the few nude colors that will look great on every skin tone.

YSL Nude Beige No. 1 | MAC Blankety | MAC Honeylove

At first I thought that MAC Blankety lipstick was going to be an exact dupe but you can see that it's more brown. I would say it's a mixture of MAC Cremecup and Honeylove.

Opera Rose No. 29 is a medium pink shade. This lipstick is perfect for those in search for a hot pink lipstick that is not too bright.

YSL Opera Rose No. 29 | MAC Chatterbox

MAC Chatterbox has more of a blue undertone compared to YSL's Opera Rose. However, they are definitely pretty similar in color.

Rose Paris No. 27 is a bright melon-coral shade. I am obsessed with coral lipsticks and this beauty is a lovely addition to my collection.

Comparisons

Maybelline Coral Crush | NYX Femme | MAC Toxic Tale | YSLRose Paris No. 27

All of the lipsticks swatched above are pretty identical to each other. The only difference I can see is that YSL's Rose Paris lipstick is more opaque and has a slight melon-pink undertone.

  1. all of these shades look BEAUTIFUL on you. I like the last one the best though, and it's nice to see that there are cheaper dupes for it. I have Maybelline Coral Crush and I love it!

  3. Okay I googled it because the name isn't anywhere on the tube. Mine is called Luscious Pink which is odd because it doesn't look pink at all.

  13. I was always interested in Nude Beige but I have Blankety. It looks very similar but Nude Beige is a little lighter. So I'm sold definitely purchasing my first YSL lipstick! And since we're on the topic have you tried the YSL Fauxcils mascara? I just got a deluxe sample, and after reading all the hype I'm disappointed! I get better results out of my drugstore mascara!
